corruption in the world

corruption in the world

It is important for every individual to understand that he/she should take unwanted advantage of the authority or power given to him especially the government officials. People who are rich and have contacts with the government officials can very easily get their problems solved. They can easily kill any one and roam freely around the world. This is because they have the power of money. There have been various cases in and around the world where the innocent people who are poor never get justice because the people who have the power are able to prove them innocent by adopting corrupt methods.

It is so common in developing countries like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh that a policeman would not punish those breaking the laws if they bribed them. Anna Hazare, the famous gandhian leader went on a hunger strike and fasted till the time the government of India did not pass the Lokpal Bill as per the people of the country. He fought against corruption and was to some extent successful in doing so. Anna was not the only person who fasted, there were people all over the country who were supporting him and were on hunger strike along with him. He was the only man who took the initiative against the wrong that was being done to the public. (TOI, 2011)

Various cases of corruption all over the world have been seen and it is a common proof that the common man or the public never gets justice.
A Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani was also accused as he failed to file corruption cases against the highest officials like the President Asif Ali Zardari. All these were punished after a long time and the court was to punish him. He was accused to have a lot of cases of corruption charged over him and also some of murder cases. (DNA, 2012)
Also former Prime Minister of Israel was found guilty for one of the three acquisitions that were charged against him. He had charges for doing fraud, and breach of trust, making false entries in the corporate documents etc. However it was a mystery that who actually filed a complaint against such a high official. (The Guardian, 2012)
Britain is considered to be country where strict law and order is practiced. They are the ones that say great words about nationality, integrity and the feeling of oneness in the country. The world telephone hacking scandal however revealed the truth. In this scandal two policeman of high rank have been fired, people with dignitaries have been arrested. (Reuters, 2011)
